Mother/Parent Baby Care Consults with Dr Gemma Ossolinski

Early parenthood can be rewarding — and incredibly challenging.

If your baby is unsettled, feeding feels difficult, sleep is exhausting, or you’re feeling overwhelmed, our Parent/Baby consults offer gentle, evidence-based support for both babies and parents.

At Hollywood GP, Parent/Baby consults are provided by Dr Gemma Ossolinski, a Possums (NDC) trained General Practitioner, combining medical expertise with a compassionate, family-centred approach.

Possums Care (Neuroprotective Developmental Care) is evidence-based support for families navigating challenges in the early stages of parenthood, including management with a holistic mother/parent-baby assessment. Possums care consultations can be helpful for the following:

Unsettled Babies

Breastfeeding Support consults for Mother and Infant

Infant Sleep Problems

Early Parenting Support

Bonding Concerns / Parental Wellbeing

Dr Gemma Ossolinski is a General Practitioner trained in Neuroprotective Developmental Care (NDC) through the Possums program, providing gentle, evidence-based support for unsettled babies, infant and toddler sleep difficulties, breastfeeding and feeding challenges, and parental wellbeing.

With over 10 years of general practice experience and clinical time in paediatrics at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Dr Ossolinski has developed a strong focus on postnatal support, breastfeeding, unsettled babies, eczema, and broader aspects of child health. She enjoys working with families who have concerns about their child’s development or behaviour and has additional training in developmental screening.

Dr Ossolinski takes a holistic, compassionate approach, valuing the time needed to get to know her patients and build a shared understanding of their needs and goals — whether addressing a short-term concern or managing a chronic condition. She incorporates an ACT-informed framework when supporting parental mental health and works closely with other health professionals to ensure families receive appropriate ongoing care.

Outside of work, Dr Ossolinski is a proud mother of two young boys and a passionate advocate for neurodiversity.
