-
We know this stage of life can feel unfamiliar — so we’re here to make it as comfortable and supportive as possible.
Your first visit will be a 45-minute consultation with one of our experienced GPs. This is your time to talk openly about how you’ve been feeling, ask any questions, and work together on a plan that supports your wellbeing and goals.
Around 8 to 12 weeks later, you’ll return for a 30-minute follow-up to check in on how you're going, and make any changes needed to your plan.
Before your appointment, we’ll send you a welcome pack that includes a few simple forms:
Health and Past History Questionnaire
Menopause Symptom Score Card (Australian Menopause Society)
Decreased Sexual Desire Screener (DSDS)
This information provides your doctor with a clear picture of your symptoms, health history, and what matters most to you — so they can create a personalised management plan that truly supports your health and wellbeing.

To help us make the most of your appointment, please bring your completed Menopause Health Questionnaire and any recent blood test or imaging results, if available. It can also be helpful to bring a list of your current medications or supplements, and any previous hormone therapy you've tried (if applicable).
We encourage you to think about any questions or concerns you'd like to discuss—whether it's about symptoms, treatment options, lifestyle changes, or simply understanding what's happening in your body. This is your time, and we’re here to listen and support you.
Questions to consider before your visit:
Reflecting on the following may help you feel more prepared and make your consultation even more effective:
What symptoms have been most disruptive to your daily life?
Have you noticed any changes in your mood, sleep, energy, memory, or concentration?
How are your periods changing (if you’re still menstruating)?
Are you experiencing any changes in your sexual health, such as pain, dryness, or decreased desire?
How do you feel about trying Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT)? Do you have any questions or concerns?
What are your goals for this stage of your health — symptom relief, prevention, lifestyle guidance, or something else?
Are there any past treatments or approaches you’ve tried already?
Jotting down your thoughts ahead of time can help ensure you make the most of your appointment — and that your GP understands the areas most important to you.
